Traveling to Packwood Flea Market!!!

On Saturday we took a road trip to Packwood Washintgon to go visit the Packwood Flea Market!

After a 3 hour road trip we arrived in Packwood. A very small town at the base of Mt. Rainier.

There were a lot of vendors. Probably more carrying new merchandise then vintage. But the vintage merchandise that I did find was pretty cool!!!

There were dealers from all over the United States but I found the dealers that were from Washington had the best deals.

So what did I buy? Check out the pictures below...

Junk Shopping Day

Today was good day to go junk shopping! It was a typical cool and rainy spring day here in the Pacific Northwest. So I decided instead of sitting at home that I would get out and see what I could find at our local thrift stores.

It was a good day to go out shopping but I think I did better then just finding junk. I found some really cool treasures. At least I think they are pretty cool. I have always loved Amber glass so I was excited when I found a set of 6 Amber Water Goblets.

The little pink hand painted piece is a Fenton vase and it is signed by the artist. The two little pins are Coro pins. They are very sweet. The black tooth pick holder with the floral design is cloisonne. This is a vintage piece of cloisonne.

I also found these cute little glass salt & pepper's. They have silver plate tops.

When I headed out I certainly wasn't expecting to find so many pretty things. It was a good day for junk shopping because I found such pretty junk!!!

All the pieces pictured here will be going up to Cat's Meow Antiques in Poulsbo.

It is Spring and time to start new!!!

I love spring. Every year when it comes around I love the feeling that everything is starting new. Maybe that is because of all the new growth all around us.
This year I really am starting new and trying to find my place in our world. On Dec 31st, 2012 I closed my Antique Store Simply Renewed Antiques. After closing I took some time and just relaxed, took care of family and spent some time thinking about what is next. 5 months later and I'm still thinking about what is next but have decided to start with trying to work on this blog, clean out my craft room and I rented a space in Poulsbo. Wa. at Cat's Meow Antiques to start selling some of my antiques and treasures. I seem to be in the mood for making things simple.

So what I would love to do is spend some time finding cool vintage treasures and sharing them here with you. Maybe throw in some ideas also that I find along the way.

I want to make this a place to share and enjoy the search for what makes us happy.
